There's a massive difference.

I don't really want this to come to fruition either, but there's definitely more to Ash-Greninja than just it changing its appearance based on ~a strong bond~. The rumor shouldn't be written off completely just because we don't like the idea.

I tried playing yellow the once using Ash's anime team. I got the to the elite four and gave up because they were being slaughtered when half of them are still in their first stage.
I had:
Pikachu
Bulbasaur
Squirtle
Charizard
Snorlax

And then Pidgeotto and Muk were in rotation when possible.

Agreed. I don't like the idea of Pokemon fusion but there must be something behind Ash's Greninja. I wouldn't mind something like that; i.e. pokemon taking your clothes if you're friendly with them, just as long as its not proper merging. Although merging with Mewtwo could slay a bit.

A good in-game Ash-based team would probably replace Squirtle with Kingler, keep Muk in rotation, and maybe swap Bulbasaur for Pidgeotto permanently, if you're going for a more solid team. Also, it's probably more accurate to use Tauros than Snorlax no matter what, since he didn't have Snorlax until the Orange Islands arc.

Pikachu should have gotten a stat boost for Yellow tbh. If a remake ever happens, at least we'll have light ball. I'd still like a stat boost tho

I feel like I play like one so differently. Like all my 6 teams always have every HM just so no slaves are needed. Like I don't care if my starter still has cut, I don't wanna go and dig up a Bidoof or something just to get through. Oh and I never use legendaries or ones people give me

I just can't be bothered with the useless HM's. Waterfall and Surf are fine the rest can go. I do keep Strength in my team tho if theres space since it isn't that bad. Ever since Rock Smash became a regular TM I use it when I need it. So if I need to use it, I replace another TM learnable move in one of my pokemon, after I'm done I just replace it again or wait for him to learn something better.
