Here we are again for the 453467744th time.
You guys don't have anything better to do than ranking the seasons.
Asylum>Roanoke>Hotel>Coven>Murder House>Freak Show
Explanation:
Asylum had simply the best plot, hardly filler material (maybe with Leigh Emerson but he was well integrated) and great characters (Sister Jude, Lana Winters, Sister Mary Eunice) to root for.
Roanoke had its innovative style with jumpy cameras involved adding to the shock effect, also well thought out story, dramatic, horrific and somewhat funny.
Hotel was simply stunning with its location, lots of excentric crazy characters (The Countess, Sally, Liz, Ms. Evers,...) and probably the best soundtrack of all seasons.
Coven worked well for younger audiences and had a nice story with a few ups (Myrtle's and Fiona's history) and downs (Zombie apocalypse, the Axeman, Franken-Kyle, etc...).
Murder House was off to a good start but got boring on replay as the main cast left a mixed impression, still solid for a first season.
Freak Show dragged on for too long with a lot of senseless fillers (Chester Creb, Regina Ross, Ima Wiggles to name a few) adding a bittersweet taste to the already ruined storyline (who kills Twisty off this early), redeemed itself for the final.
