The election results will start to be reveled Tuesday, November 9th, around ~8:30pm EASTERN TIME (aka Washington DC time). They should announce the winner by ~11:30, give or take 30 minutes depending on which states go for which candidate). Usually by Midnight, the winner is revealed unless in special circumstances like the 2000 election which LET'S HOPE is not the scenario this time around.

Yeah here in the US the results come in Tuesday night and we find out the same day however, if it's super close we would need to wait until Wednesday. Since you're in the U.K., it would be Wednesday for you.
