Hotline Bling is selling more than 115K per week rate. The last estimate Kworb did was before the video effect where it only had 1 red update over 2 days and skyrocketed with a 50-60% lead.
Well, it's good news! When I went home I try to estimate sales according to sum of all pop bars - it works fine generally tbh.
Let's say HB's sales is stable ~110k per 7 days. It means that Hello in 6 hours was sold in:
( 115k / (7*4) ) / 0.245 =~ 16 - 17k
But this brings up an interesting point.
You used the 4 there because the day has 24 hours and 6 hours have passed, but that would imply that the 24,5% shown for Hotline Bling right now only include his sales of the last 6 hours and I'm pretty sure that that's wrong.
Anybody knows how those percentage work and how much time they reflect?
Do you guys think that Adele will debut at #1? Does she have a radio deal?
I'm almost certain at this point that she will debut at #1, but radio deal won't help with that (other than it getting people to buy the song) as the rolling effect will have already passed for the Hot 100 next week.
She will debut at #1. Specially because she isn't frontloaded, she's a consistent seller. I trust she'll maintain a big lead for the rest of the week. Streaming will only help more to assure that #1.
