First of all, don't forget that Hilary has been out of the industry for 7 years. It's her job to convince her label that they should spend more money on her but unfortunately she's not doing that, she's actually doing the opposite.
We all knew that it's not gonna be that easy for her, the only reason why some labels (RCA included) were still interested in her was her previews sales (15M albums in 5 years). Hilary seemed very happy when she signed with them but I feel like she took it like it's the end of the story (she's with a big label and the label will take care of everything) but it's just the beginning she has to prove them that they did the right choice by adding her to their artists.
If it was a budget problem then why would she do all these useless national trips ? They seemed very comfortable taking flights whenever they wanted to do a 15 minutes interview in some radio in another state.
Why did she take a flight to go premier AAY in some random radio show instead of premiering it in LA with Ryan Seacrest ? it would've cost less money !
Why did she take a flight to Canada for 2 useless interviews ?
And not to mention the CTS planes....
They wasted a lot of money for nothing, it's clearly a management issue not a budget one !

While I agree that Hilary may have taken getting re-signed very lightly, this whole she had to prove to them anything is a load of crock. Lol Yeah she needs to show that she's more interested in her career now than before, but that's really not a label issue or makes or breaks a deal. It's about how much she's actually selling/making for the label.
The radio show was in Atlanta, which I believe she went to AFTER being in New York and before returning to Los Angeles (or vice-versa) which was totally understandable (it's in between both cities) though the Ryan Seacrest thing is definitely still a mystery.
The Canadian interviews were probably her most useless promotional tactic this entire era and the planes were also not very smart but that was just a tactic that (obviously wasn't going to and) didn't work out.
Management DID book the Canadian interviews so I'll give you that one. The label paid for travel so... It's not looking good for either H's management or label tbh.
I'm not sure where people are getting the thought that management and the record label are completely separate and don't work together. If you're managing an artist, every move regarding the music and promotion goes through the label.
