YouTube comment about her new music, particularly Flesh Without Blood:
Quote:
It's like Grimes made this song to expose 'fans' who couldn't be less interested in how/why she makes the music she does, and only listen to it so they can tell other hipsters that they listen to 'better music' not played on the top 40 or billboard.
There's two kinds of people that comment on this video:
1. Those who complain this song represents the 'death' of Grimes, because according to them they can't use their interest in her music to impress fellow hipsters anymore, that this new style is soulless, plastic, mainstream, has no message etc etc.
2. The few that are laughing at every hipster exposing themselves for who they truly are, who clearly don't realise the song is written about them and their destructive culture of hating anything that doesn't sound 'unique.'
The song is 100% Grimes, it's pretty much trolling and really intelligent response (from the way it's written to the style in which it is performed) to the hate she has received recently. Any real fan would consider this one of her best purely because it's a big middle finger to all hipsters who have pretentiously claimed her music.
I like the added synths on Realiti, however discreet they may be. Overall the Demo is better though, but at least she included it on the album either way.
