The first single from Heart's tenth album Brigade, "All I Wanna Do..." is a quintessential Heart song (it's big, dramatic, and cheesy) that details a one-night stand. It is Heart's only song to be certified Gold by the RIAA, apparently, and it went to #1 in Canada, Australia, and Sweden. Talk about global.
What the GP had to say:
Buyonce1814 kept it short and sweet with a "Yas bitch!" but on the other hand, Latinazza calls it "such a melodramatic and annoying telenovela in barely five minutes." Lucas32 was feeling inspired: "Mental picture: A cheesy '80s love movie and the main protagonist has just experienced the hardest night of her life and she runs to her car and decides to go for a drive in the middle of the night. It's pouring and she turns on the radio and the song that plays is the cheesiest and corniest '80s soft rock love song ever. This could be that song and it does it amazingly well." I would agree but this song was released in 1990. Do your research before you get ha to Hollywood, please.
The band's first single, "Stop Your Sobbing" is a cover of the song by The Kinks, and it is the final song to be eliminated tonight.
#FunFact: The recording of this song led to a relationship between Ray Davies of The Kinks and Chrissie, which resulted in the birth of a child. Isn't that sweet?
Can I just not convert GMT times correctly I didn't expect this to start for another 10 minutes
I'm satisfied with the stuff that's out so far though, most of my lower ranking tracks out in one punch. Only real loss is Kid but I'm fine with the rest leaving.
My least favorite song from each band is out (except FM obviously) so that's good.
I thought My Baby was just as enjoyable as Don't Get Me Wrong though
