A lot of it has to do with American male culture, especially among cops--which I've noticed a lot living in NYC the past couple of years. It always seems so "macho, tough guy," out to prove something blah blah. Idk what the screening process is like for cops but I think the whole system is ****ed and so douchey and old-fashioned.

Huge respect to Katy for mentioning it. Some of the supposedly "socially aware" stars will stay quiet though. Not a trendy enough civil rights issue I suppose.
