And lastly, what can we expect from your new album? How would you sum it up?
Jess: It’s definitely an eclectic record – all the different parts of our personalities in one album. Because we had such creative freedoms and we weren’t having to answer to anyone, we were just going with wherever our hearts led us musically. So it’s literally all over the shop. The big pop songs – they’re still there, but there’s the stuff that people might not expect from us so much. There’s country pop, there’s hip-hop, there’s trip-hop – all of our favourite styles! We have this really swampy, bluesy soul song – we actually open the record with that. Then there’s a song called ‘Cold’ which is very emotional, and it’s almost like a monologue. We close the record with a song that’s just one acoustic guitar, Jess and I doing the whole thing in two-part harmonies, from top to bottom.
It'll prob leak this weekend or early next week when stores get physical copies, i concur with them saying Cruel is a car friendly song completely, this album is literally everything!
