Finally finished A Feast For Crows just in time for S05 of GOT. Brienne's last chapter though. I know all must not be what it seems.



I know most people felt this book was boring but I actually loved it. I'd rate them:

Storm of Swords > Feast for Crows = Game of Thrones > Clash of Kings

Amy is too much to handle, but she is, in fact, really smart. I watched the movie days ago, and it really did the book justice. Amazing book, nevertheless.

I've finished The Last Leaves Falling, which was really sad.

I'm currently reading The Night Circus, and so far... it's so magical!

The Night Circus is an amazing book It was different. It was magical but not to the point where it's scary. I love the descriptions of everything, although I wasn't fond of it at first. It's just amazing.

I read The Presidents Hat by Antoine Laurain last year and it was fantastic. It was a short book, but it was so charming. It was fun and light, and it had a really easy, happy and humorous story line. Anyway, I picked up his newest book, The Red Notebook, the other day and finally started it last night. I'm hoping it's as good as The Presidents Hat. That book has really became one of my favourite books of all time. It's fighting with The Book Thief and Catching Fire for my all-time favourite book actually. I recommend it!

I'm currently reading "The Shining" and it is very creepy but also a very well written novel. I like it more than the movie tbh like you actually get to know the characters more and their problems in the past. It's so different too with like the topiary and the "snake hose". Oh and you actually get to know about the Overlook hotel like it's history which is really interesting too.

Hmm if there are any Game of Thrones/LoTR fans I highly suggest the Stormlight Archives.

It is high fantasy and resembles GoT because of the political intrigue and mental games employed within its pages. The series is supposed to be 17 titles long with only 2 books released so far (Each novel is 1-1.1k pages long--BUT I ASSURE YOU ITS FILLED WITH ACTION ALL THROUGHOUT).

I always rave about this series, honestly get into it.

Currently reading "Words of radiance" (please no spoilers) I like it but I can't help but feel like something is missing, I read the mistborn trilogy first (which was so overrated but still decent) and I think Brandon Sanderson's characters lack charisma and the plot doesn't usually progress naturally (like when Jasnah simply forgave Shallan at the end of book 1 or Shallan simply running into the slavers after the ship sank )

Hmm, I don't really find myself wondering about whether or not the character's lacked enough depth in this series. Given that I have not read any of his other series' I will not be able to compare his characters but I do know that in Shallan's case regarding the end of book 1 you will get an answer by the end of Words of Radiance. The last 300 pages are a mess, a good mess. The last 10 pages will have you gripping your book waiting to see what's next, and that damn epilogue.

I do agree with the mess that was the slavers after the ship but again by the end of WoR you will get your answer, I assure you. Did you get to the pivotal scene regarding Jasnah and the ship? I'm leaving this as spoiler free as I can for you.
