100 BEST SONGS EVER · #84 - 81

♫"Yeah you better not sleep, because she's waiting, waiting. She knows all about you; you're in her aim."♫ | 84 · DIA FRAMPTON, "Walk Away"
Debut Date: January 19, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 5 Weeks
Peak Position: #04
I wasn't really aware about Dia Frampton not until I've heard this track on the radio. Thanks to her visit here in Manila earlier this year, radio stations kept on playing "Walk Away" hour by hour. I'm not sure if the song had a decent music video, but I think it has one featuring Dia recording the song. This one sounds so great and catchy. Plus, her vocals sound so sweet.

♫"Let's turn it up, turn it up. Let me know what's up. Don't just stand there. Girl, I gotta know."♫ | 83 · AUSTIN MAHONE, "Say Somethin"
Debut Date: January 26, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 4 Weeks
Peak Position: #12
One of the many breakthrough artists I've discovered this year. Came to know Austin when a local music channel played this track and it instantly caught my attention. Though he is somehow reminiscent of Bieber in his early days, Austin's vocals definitely sound more mature. This is Austin's first appearance on the list and I swear this is not his last. Hope to hear more from him this coming year.

♫"Sometimes the world can make you feel you're not welcome anymore. And you beat yourself up, you let yourself get mad."♫ | 82 · JASON MRAZ, "The Woman I Love"
Debut Date: March 9, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 4 Weeks
Peak Position: #13
Jason Mraz's sole entry on the list. Though it may not as remarkable as his singles off Waiting For My Rocket To Come, I still think it is a good follow-up to "I Won't Give Up". It sounds simple and sweet yet sincere and honest. Looking forward to Jason's subsequent release. I hope he goes back to his roots for the upcoming singles.

♫"You ain't worth another sleepless night, and I'll do everything I gotta do to get you off my mind."♫ | 81 · CASSADEE POPE, "Wasting All These Tears"
Debut Date: July 27, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 8 Weeks
Peak Position: #07
I've been a follower of Hey Monday releases and I am stoked to see Cassadee going solo. What makes it even ironic is that she switches genre from power punk to country. However, that major switch was totally impressive. "Wasting All These Tears" was actually an astonishing, heartfelt and emotional country ballad. Will definitely look forward to her follow-ups.
