Lol, why would you need a backing track for the National Anthem? It's not a hard song to sing.
As much as I want to agree with you, the national anthem is an extremely hard song to sing [if you sing note by note]. which is why most singers have to sing around certain notes. And why some will never sing it.
The spokeswoman, Master Sergeant Kristin duBois, said the weather was good and the Marine Band had no trouble with intonation during most of the prelude and ceremony, nearly two and half hours of music. Still, at the last minute, she said, Beyoncé and the band received orders to use a recorded version of the national anthem.
“We don’t know why,” Sergeant duBois said. “But that is what we were instructed to do so that is what we did. It’s not because Beyoncé can’t sing. We all know Beyoncé can sing. We all know the Marine Band can play.” http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/20...usic&seid=auto

Beyonce also birth-synced her baby. Still waiting on the definition of "birth-synced" but I'm pretty sure it's a thing and she did it.

First you fake your pregnancy, now you lip synced at Obama's Inauguration? Girl, get your act together @Beyonce

Telling me Beyonce was lip-syncing is like telling a toddler that Santa isn't real. Don't talk to me! I don't wanna hear it!

Beyonce was lip syncing at the Inauguration. I thought it looked fake but I thought she was better than that. Damn Africa. What happened?
The ultimate ki is this rapid influx of Kelly stans out of nowhere.
You don't have to be a Kelly stan to denounce lip synching. Many members are expressing their bewilderment that a known vocalist like Beyonce would have the audacity to lip synch during Obama's second Inauguration. In a way, she made this whole event about her instead of the POTUS and his nation. Disrespectful, in my opinion, but perks of being friendly with the President?
