Beyoncé earns her second #1 album this week as Dangerously in Love rises to that position. It earns a whopping 126 spins, an increase of 640% from last week. It also breaks the record for the most number of spins in a week; previously, Chris Brown's album Fortune held with record with 112 spins in its debut week. At a distant #2 position, Mariah Carey's sixth album Butterfly debuts with 18 spins. Another new debut follows at #3: Whitney Houston's My Love is Your Love, with 17 spins. At #4 comes he aptly named album 4, by Beyoncé. It stays at that position for a third week in a row, earning 16 spins. Another Mariah Carey album, Charmbracelet, debuts at #5 with 15 spins.
Meanwhile, at #6, Mariah Carey's seventh studio effort Rainbow re-enters the chart with 15 spins, after two weeks of absence. Last week's #2 album, Chris Brown's latest album Fortune, drops down to #7, earning a meager 5 spins. Christina Aguilera's sophomore Stripped drops down two rungs to #8, despite having earning only 5 spins (a drop of 50% from last week). At #9 comes in a new debut, Destiny Child's final album Destiny Fulfilled, with 4 spins. After rising to #5 last week, Usher's Looking 4 Myself once again sinks to the bottom of the chart, earning only 3 spins.
The total combined number of spins this week was 224. That is 83 more than last week, and it breaks the record for most number of spins in a week; the previous record was 222, three weeks ago. Dangerously in Love's 126 spins comprise over half of the combined number this week.

Britney Spears has her first album debut on the chart, as her fourth effort In the Zone debuts at #2 with 55 spins. Another Britney Spears album follows at #3: her latest Femme Fatale, with 24 spins. My Love is Your Love, Whitney Houson's fourth studio album, drops one rung to #4, earning 14 spins; three less than week. E=MC², the eleventh album from Mariah Carey, makes it debuts at #5 with 14 spins.
Chris Brown's latest album Fortune rises up one spot to #6, earning 14 spins, an increase of nearly 180% over last week. The Remixes, Mariah Carey's 2003 remix album, debuts at the #7 position with 13 spins. Right behind it, at #8, is Glitter, another Mariah Carey album; it returns to the chart with 12 spins, after a two-week absence. Britney Spears' third album to debut on the chart this week, Blackout, comes in at #9, with at total of 12 spins. Finally, at #10 is Usher's latest studio effort Looking 4 Myself with 11 spins. It stays at that position for a second week in a row, despite having a 266% increase from last week's 3 spins.
The total combined number of spins this week was 260, beating the previous record of 224. Also, for the first time in the history of the chart, all of the albums this week have 10 or more spins.

It earns 79 spins, increasing 43% over last week's 55 spins.With an increase of 136%, Looking 4 Myself, the latest from Usher, bullets to #3, after it slumped to #10 for the last two weeks; it earns 26 spins. Whitney Houston's fourth album My Love is Your Love remains at #4 for the second consecutive week, earning only 1 less spin from last week.
Rihanna has her first album chart, as her fifth effort Loud debuts at #5 with 13 spins. Right behind it at #7, is another new debut, Maroon 5's latest album Overexposed, with 8 spins. Despite a decline of 71%, Chris Brown's Fortune falls only one rung to #7, earning just 4 spins. MDNA, the latest from Madonna, re-enters the chart for a third week, with 3 spins. The last two entries on the chart both earned only 1 spin over the tracking week; Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi enters the chart for the first time at #9, while Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded re-enters at #10 for a second week.
