Selena Gomez makes her only appearance on the list within the Top 40. This song is extremely adorable, catchy and meaningful. The message of the song is very uplifting. Hope to hear more of these hits from Selena this 2012.

NE-YO
"ONE IN A MILLION"
RELEASE DATE: 14 September 2010 BEST PART: "I can be in love but I just don't know. Baby, one this is for certain. Whatever you do is working."
I'm so glad Ne-Yo released a track as awesome as "Mad", "Go On Girl" and some of his previous works. Though I find it cheesy, it's a great R&B track that can put smiles on our faces.

CHRIS BROWN f/ JUSTIN BIEBER
"NEXT 2 YOU"
RELEASE DATE: 24 June 2011 BEST PART: "You got that smile that only heaven can make." + the chorus
I would consider this as Chris' best song since "Superhuman". His era after Exclusive was disappointing and this song saved him for me to give his music a chance. In fairness, the blending between Chris' and Justin's voices sounded well. This is JB's last appearance, haters.

SARA BAREILLES
"GONNA GET OVER YOU"
RELEASE DATE: 16 September 2011 BEST PART: The bridge + the video
Back in 2010, I didn't pay much attention to this song whenever I listen to "Kaleidoscope Heart". To my surprise, "Gonna Get Over You" was released as the third single off Sara's third album. Thanks to that move, I was able to fully appreciate and love this song. The video

SIMPLE PLAN f/ NATASHA BEDINGFIELD
"JET LAG"
RELEASE DATE: 25 April 2011 BEST PART: The verses
Woah, I was still in elementary when I last paid attention to a Simple Plan song. I'm glad their back with a great and catchy track. The collaboration with Natasha complimented well. Deserving to be my rockternative anthem for 2011.

LMFAO f/ LAUREN BENNETT & GOONROCK
"PARTY ROCK ANTHEM"
RELEASE DATE: 25 January 2011 BEST PART: The chorus + the instrumental after that
LMFAO made it big this year! Maybe a lot of people are annoyed with their music but this song is extremely infectious, catchy and irresistible! This has been one of my summer jams and I am still enjoying it up to this moment.

CHRISTINA PERRI
"JAR OF HEARTS"
RELEASE DATE: 27 July 2010 BEST PART: The bridge
Breakthrough artist nominee Christina Perri appears for the second time on my list. Though this is so 2010, it just went mainstream last year. I love the melancholic appeal of the song. Hoping to hear more of Perri's great music this 2012.

TAYLOR SWIFT
"THE STORY OF US"
RELEASE DATE: 19 April 2011 BEST PART: Everything
This is one of the songs I truly loved since 2010 whenever I listen to "Speak Now". It sounds great, catchy and appealing. It might not be my favorite track off Speak Now but I am grateful that it was picked as a single. Looking forward for a new Swift album this year.

TAIO CRUZ f/ KYLIE MINOGUE
"HIGHER"
RELEASE DATE: 29 November 2010 BEST PART: The verses + the chorus
I always adored Taio Cruz's music. The beats, the verses and the melodies are infectious. Teaming up with Kylie makes this song more exciting and club-ish. Honestly, the Kylie version is gazillion times better than the Travie version.

LIL WAYNE
"HOW TO LOVE"
RELEASE DATE: 13 June 2011 BEST PART: "See you had a lot of crooks trynna steal your heart. Never really had love, could've never figure out how to love."
<-- My initial reaction when I first heard this song on the radio and figured out it was Lil Wayne who was singing. I never imagined Lil Wayne can deliver a great and sincere R&B track with no raps at all. I hope Lil Wayne will do more songs like this. I will definitely give his music a chance if ever.
