But yeah, I get what she's saying about the image of Taylor's squad. Blonde, tall, supermodel like but whatever. If that's her friends then that's her friends. I think Demi is just really obsessed with calling others out. Unnecessary. And feminism isn't about all women getting along. Bad Blood was a **** move, but it had no correlation with gender equality.

this. plus look @ the bb video... lena dunham is in the squad... she's overweight. idgi demi.

Now hopefully EVERYONE understands.
I find it ironic that the same people who still drag taylor 2 years later for doing an interview about HER album. Are the same people supporting Demi 2 years later for talking about it in an interview, it's okay. she was asked and she answered. Double standards much.

At the same time, she was still pressed enough to write a diss song about Katy all over some damn dancers.

The fact that you think you can decide if someone is "awfully unhealthy" by looking at a photo of her body highlights your lack of intelligence. This body fascism - the whole idea that someone's natural shape is "unrealistic" and "harmful" - is truly disturbing.

That is what happens when you cross a songwriter, you will get a song and it could quite possibly win a grammy. Katy knew Taylor wrote songs before she crossed her so obviouly she did not mind a song.

Maybe, just maybe, Katy didn't know she had actually crossed Taylor. Who's to say that Katy even knew she was "stealing" dancers in the first place. And why would one care enough about something so damn petty and insignificant that they would feel slighted to the point of writing a song about it and manipulating the media to care about something that no one should have cared about.
Taylor stans praise her manipulation and PR tactics, but then turn around and get mad when people publicly call her out. Y'all can't have it both ways. Stop trying to make Taylor the victim.

Yet she doesnt call them out for not being her "real body" like she did with that 17yr old fan boy who drew a picture of her as a mythical creature

And maybe, just maybe, Taylor saw Katy's actions as tacky. It's really not up to you how one should or shouldn't feel about something that hurt that person. So, she wrote a song about an incident that she felt impacted her life. That's her perogative, not yours, and she can write about what ever the hell she feels like. She has every right to feel how she feels she does, not how you think she should feel
Taylor writes songs based on her life. If she feels she has been betrayed, she will portray that feeling through song. No need to twist the situation by saying she's manipulating with her PR tactics, that's your assumption, not the actual truth. Stop trying to pass off your fanfic as factual evidence. Songwriters have been writing songs about others for decades, that's what they do. It's their music, it's their life.

I wouldn't say she was trying to body shame. "Normal" wasn't the best word to use, but she is right to suggest that most women are not shaped like Taylor's squad, and that it's very ****ing weird of Taylor to only befriend tall skinny (white) women and not show any kind of support for feminist intersectionality.

It's tacky if it involves a fully planned and ongoing world tour and a whole crew. It doesn't matter if they willingly left or because of more money or similar tactics. The fact that they were asked with the knowledge that they were in the middle of a tour of a (then) friend is simply unprofessional (of both; the dancers and Katy).
I'm not sure about you, but if I was in that situation, I'd be VERY disappointed, too. If I was a songwriter and basically used songwriting as a diary, I'd have decided to write about it as well. After all it was nameless, gender neutral and nothing more than a song about someone being upset about a friend who they used to trust. People who say that it's a diss track are ridiculous and deep down they know that. Don't even get me started on people connecting it to Taylor spending time with her girl friends, feminism or similar; media brainwash at its finest.

Give Taylor time, she'll get to shorter plumper brunettes in time. They also have to be non white, right?
She should book the bet awards so she can expand her squad to your liking. Afterall, she met the models at the vsfs. We have got yo get Taylor to more black events so her friends can be more to your liking. If she did that she'd then be called out as trying to use the black community. She can't win either way. Imo, she has just as many black friends as the average white person, if not more.
