Not understanding the "dated" reference considering there are legit songs on radio now that sounds sonically similar. In a era where DJ Snakehips, Major Lazer, Calvin Harris and The Chainsmokers are all continuing to experience chart success with similar sonic sounds, how is this not in league with them?
It's a little different in that it's not hopping on the tropical bandwagon, but the soul and urban vibe is what helps it stands out. For me anyway.
It really does seem like some will never be happy with what she puts out, rushes in here to make snap assertions about how bad and dated it is, meanwhile they're legit in other threads with more basic songs spilling figurative body fluids over how amazing they are.
