Still, I consider Janet as one of the biggest pop music legends. She shaped the industry and deserves more recognition than she gets.

Janet's legacy hasn't become as pertinent as her brothers, Mariah's, Celine's, Whitney's, or Madonna's to name a few. The Super Bowl hurt her legacy more than you'd like to think. She is a legend imo but she's not very memorable which is why most people don't consider her a legend.

Ohh I get what you're saying. Yea I agree, but I feel like most people who are interested in the music industry are a little less ignorant than your average GP member. I would even go as far as saying her performances have been the most influential in the recent crop of pop girls (especially Britney).

As long as people like Tinashe, Kendrick Lamar, Ciara, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears exist, her legacy will be standing tall.
