Men with degrees, yes, but they have no excuse. What anxiety do they have? We're NOT entering the ******** "white genocide" "too PC" ********. We can talk about how the Dems have no done enough for poor people, but we're not entertaining no anti-SJW Breitbart 4chan nazi ********.
All men with college degrees who are well-off voted for Trump cause they're ****ing racists. A well-off white Latino voted for Trump? **** him too.
|
Yeah, I understand this. I definitely don't agree with what they were thinking. I don't think it's reasonable for them to have an anxiety about being "replaced" and I don't think our society is "too PC."
I think SJW's are a non-issue and all this talk about "tumblr's 37 genders!!1" was so dumb, since it's probably literally about .01% of people (maybe somewhere around 30-40k people?) These people are somehow infringing on "rights" and are often made the focus of anti-PC rhetoric. They're cherrypicking a tiny fraction of liberals to call out, which is dumb in itself.

Jesus.
These conversations are not mutually exclusive.
Yes, uneducated whites wanted a better economy - they also saw the demonizing and sacrifice of non-white citizens and residents as a necessary means to that end. **** their ugly asses.
|
And people can also prioritize their economic anxiety and dismiss inflammatory rhetoric as just that... inflammatory.
What St. Charles is saying is to examine which points of distress lead these in-betweeners to overlook racially charged speech in favor of their wallets and work on integrating solutions to those ailes in the campaign run after Donald's 4 years are up.

Right? like voting for the same party that caused the financial crisis, it was still majority republican congress through and through but they still defend this economic nonsense for voting for the issue in the first place. Obamas policies were all blocked by their hate but he still worked hard to build back the economy but they'll demonize him.

I do not agree in any way with 99.9% of what Jan has to say, but this claim is ridiculous. You are out of hand at this point, my fellow Rihanna stan.

See, but that's just bad policy. You're endorsing that the dignity of every day law abiding citizens be challenged for the simple reason that there are people in their religion that do these bad things. If these things don't happen to white people when whites commit the most crimes, it doesn't make sense to apply it to any other ethnic group.
There's nothing wrong with screening immigrants, it happens all the time. But there's obviously a fine socially acceptable limit we shouldn't surpass. Stop and frisk, registries, and large scale deportations are counterproductive in that they violate a lot of the constitutional principles we value as a country.
|
Any policy improving the security of people potentially threatened by a group of people to me is justified. Of course, it is a violation of freedom, but I think that increased screening and someone's hurt feelings are a much lesser evil than innocent people dead in the name of the only God, whose prophet is Muhammad.

And these people are racists.
And it does the Democrat party no good to pander to them.
Instead, we'll reform for 2020 with better economic policies that reject neoliberalism, that work for the poor of ALL races, and with an exciting candidate. Turnout was horribly down in urban areas for Dems. We failed our urban, non-white constituents by not working harder to defeat Republican obstructionism. We were too soft and gentle with Republicans. Obama gave them chances they didn't deserve. We should NEVER work across the aisle after the way Republicans showed themselves to be deplorable racists and people this election.
Again, it needs to be stated - If Hillary had Obama's turnout, Trump would have lost, even with his little 'cute' bump of white nationalist support. This was white supremacy's last stand and they won't be standing here in 2020. We'll purge the fascists and nazis from our government. Don't worry.

There's always going to be a racist element to American society, but history has shown that the general trend is toward more fairness and equality. Consider even these last 8 years with Obama, a black man, as president. Winning considerably in both instances.

Or self-interested. Or ignorant. Or easily manipulated.
It doesn't matter what adjective you use. The point is they were not convinced with the Democratic platform this time around. And if Donald fails, they'll drop the Republican platform next go around. And we'll have to be there to pick them off.

Jan's support for the Donald is really irrelevant. He is in Poland, so he can stan all that he wants and his point of view will remain no more than an uninformed and pointless nuisance.
I just think that several people in here are posting emotionally charged stuff that really resolves nothing about our current situation (and our bleak future).
We gotta remain vigilant, proactive, and involved. Nothing is gained by claiming that St. Charles is a Trump supporter or an apologist for those who follow the Donald. There's also nothing gained by acting like the four individuals in the O.P. They're going to jail. What did they do for our country of for those of us who do not support the man who was unfortunately elected?

I hope so
The DNC should try to nominate an actual nice human being this time too. That'll help a bit.
