It still has the actual release date it was promoted as that the GP will purchase it on, the video premiering on GMA, the VMA performance and the iTunes festival. I can't at some of the Kats constantly bringing up Gaga in conversation, that just proves that you are afraid of her power. #1 WW >> #1 on US iTunes

I'm incredibly happy for Katy getting that #1 and when it comes down to it, I really don't care for chart success all that much, I just feel like I need to defend Gaga when she's being attacked by people for low sales when Applause is top 5 on almost every iTunes store
You are all underestimating Applause. Still has a lot of promo left. Btw, most radio stations still aren't playing Applause. So I bet a lot of people don't know it exists yet.
I agree. But I don't think radio is going to make much of a difference. The song sucks.
I don't get the complaints about We R Who We R topping Applause's sales. That song is a bop
You see nothing wrong with the fact that "the biggest pop star on the planet" is struggling to sell more than an average Kesha song that was released with no promo or hype?

I remember We R Who We R was announced through some random article 2 weeks before its release. I think Kesha hardly even talked about the song before it debuted.
