TOTAL RUN:422 days (60 weeks)
NOTE:Shows 15-21 are missing on the MWC radar
Below is a 2006 rewind.
15. Sarah Tracey - After The Rain [live] (MWC:#16 <2,227, #3>, IDRL:#12, AIRPLAY:#13) (811,305)
This is her 3rd appearance on the endchart and probably one of the best songs to never crack the top 2. After The Rain had a rollercoaster ride but it stayed mostly at the top of that coaster. This song got to #3 and has been one of the strongest songs around the block, netting 2,227 pts and a #3 peak.
14. Rihanna - Unfaithful [live] (MWC:#9 <2,754, 11@1>, IDRL:#2, AIRPLAY:#14) (812,366)
The support factor didn't support Rihanna enough with Unfaithful as she wound up around 50th. As it is, she had the #2 song on the IDRL chart with an astounding 70@1 and an incredible 11@1 on the MWC, 2nd when it comes to peak-wise. She has one more shot at the #1 song of the year for 2006.
13. Britney Christian - Too Perfect [live] (MWC:#3 <3,022, 2@1>, IDRL:#15, AIRPLAY:#12) (813,405)
This song had probably the mark that is stated as, 'She who believes in self wins titles.' This is the 3rd Britney song on this endchart and it's easily the most pop/rockish of the 3. Too Perfect got to #1 twice, but pretty late in the year and might be a factor why it finishes 13th for the year. Nice run from her. (For the record, she is not linked to Britney Spears so don't even say it)
12. Natalie - Love You So [live] (MWC:#15 <2,302, 2@1>, IDRL:#13, AIRPLAY:#15) (819,996)
Love You So rides into the coast as Natalie fails to get back-to-back #1 Endyear songs. However, Love You So was one of the strongest songs of the year with about 6@1 on IDRL and 2@1 on MWC. What might be the reason this wasn't top 10 for the year is the fact it started slow. She's happy to be doing this well though, hopefully she will get that top crown again.
11. Kristin Hoffmann - Mary [live] (MWC:#17 <2,198, 2@1>, IDRL:#11, AIRPLAY:#11) (903,000)
I don't want any Mary jokes. Kristin Hoffmann is the highest charting Myspacer on this list. Mary reached #1 twice and accumulated 2,198 pts overall to become the highest song of its kind. Ok, may be a stretch there but it was one of the most popular and powerful songs of the year, but it came so close to finishing in the top 10 for the year.
10. Rascal Flatts - What Hurts The Most (MWC:#47 <1,255, #3>, IDRL:#14, AIRPLAY:#10) (996,277)
This song got to #1 on IDRL becoming the first country group to ever pull it off. They also snatched #3 on the MWC chart and secured 1,255 pts on the MWC. They also scored a high Support level for the year and all that success equals the #10 song of 2006.
9. Vanessa Hudgens - Come Back To Me (MWC:#12 <2,451, 1@1>, IDRL:#10, AIRPLAY:#9) (1,034,225)
What makes this song so sweet? It's something you'd expect from a great female, not something you'd expect from a female who was in the Disney movie High School Musical. This song hit #1 on both IDRL & MWC and was one of the fall's stronger songs. Not bad for Vanessa to end up with the #9 song of 2006.
8. Rihanna - Final Goodbye (MWC:#5 <2,869, 1@1>, IDRL:#9, AIRPLAY:#6) (1,096,111)
Rihanna had a year to remember. She followed up a pretty weak 2 song performance on the endyear chart in 2005 with a 7 song performance on the endyear chart in 2006. Considered to be the most improved player of the year. While it may be a surprise to see Final Goodbye the best from her and not Unfaithful, it's a real shocker. Gotta have that Support! This pop/rock song is so hot and it gets the #8 song of 2006.
7. Joanna Pacitti - Let It Slide (MWC:#4 <2,964, 1@1>, IDRL:#8, AIRPLAY:#8) (1,115,306)
This is the 2nd from Joanna here. Watch Me Shine caught a whiff of the chart in 2003 and now gets her first big shot at the age of 21 and ends up with a song hitting #1 once on both IDRL & MWC. Joanna is very satisified as she ends up with the #4 song on the MWC chart and #8 on the IDRL & AIRPLAY lists. As it turns out, she has the #7 song of 2006.
6. Paula Deanda - Doing Too Much (MWC:#10 <2,706, 3@1>, IDRL:#6, AIRPLAY:#7) (1,194,322)
Doing Too Much had one hell of a run this year by hitting #1 a lot of times. This song was top 5 everywhere it went. Paula Deanda ends her 2006 endchart appearances with this hot song that should've been a top 10 hot 100 hit ends up at #6. While she was red-hot and dangerous, she kept it calm and winds up with the #6 song of 2006.
5. Anna Nalick - In The Rough (MWC:#8 <2,805, 4@1>, IDRL:#4, AIRPLAY:#5) (1,296,366)
If looks were a weapon, she'd be a chainsaw or maybe a sharp knife. Don't let that fool you because she is sweet. This was #19 on the 2005 endchart but that was the album version that did the damage. The video version was her power source this year and racked up 4@1 very quickly with 76/90 shows on the MWC countdown. She also hit #1 about 30 times in 2006 with this song on IDRL. All that success and it's good enough to garner the #5 song of 2006.
4. Stacie Orrico - I'm Not Missing You (MWC:#2 <3,738, 2@1>, IDRL:#5, AIRPLAY:#4) (1,368,200)
Stacie Orrico scores another top 10 finish on the endchart for the third time in the last 4 years. This time the song to do it is I'm Not Missing You, her comeback single at the age of 20. While she's been around for 6 years, she's been in the IDRL/MWC spotlight for 3 years. She finished 2nd on the MWC pts leaderboard and raced with Melissa O'Neil until the very end while getting 2 times at #1 on there. Overall she finishes with the #4 song of 2006.
3. Aly & A.J. - Rush (MWC:#7 <2,806, 8@1>, IDRL:#1, AIRPLAY:#2) (1,594,320)
Aly & A.J. expected to finish the year on top, but in the last couple weeks they had to watch their chances slip away. Rush managed to not only pass Ashanti's song Only U for most days at #1 in IDRL history, but had pretty much an unstoppable amount by finishing with 100 days at #1. They spent 25% of their time at #1 on that chart, not to mention 8@1 on the MWC. What a year they had....but the only reason they're not #1 is because they didn't get enough support. It's like what happened to Unfaithful and S.O.S., but you cannot devalue this song's amazing year and it takes the bronze as the #3 song of 2006.
2. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (MWC:#6 <2,818, 2@1>, IDRL:#7, AIRPLAY:#3) (1,594,337)
This was the top supporting song of the year. An incredible year Snow Patrol had as they almost pull off the biggest upset probably in IDRL/MWC chart history. They were 1 spot away, but it basically was a fantastic 2006 for Chasing Cars. While its IDRL success may not be the most spectacular at a #7 rank, they had the 3rd highest airplay, the 6th best on the MWC and tallied up 2,818 pts, 2 times at #1 and a total of 36 shows on the chart. Did I mention they were in and out of the top 10 numerous times? So close for this British band as they wind up with the silver and the runner-up mark by taking back to England with them, the #2 song of 2006.
1. Melissa O'Neil - Speechless (MWC:#1 <3,754, 12@1>, IDRL:#3 (36@1), AIRPLAY:#1) (1,943,206)
What is left to be said? This song debuted at #1 on the MWC and racked up an incredible 3,754 pts, 12@1, 43 shows on the countdown, topped all airplay and lots of support with #2 overall. On the IDRL front, she finished 3rd with 36 days at #1 (and still going as we speak as she is now actually at 40@1), topped all IDRL airplay and scored lots of requests and votes. She left everyone speechless as the Canadian Idol 3 winner was basically on fire. To top it off, she never fell off the top 20 on the MWC in her 43 show run (another record). As it is, she takes home the gold, the honor and the Song Of The Year by finishing up as the #1 song of 2006 and wins the 2006 IDRL/MWC Title. Congratulations to our 18-year old canadian as she also becomes the youngest #1 artist on the endchart in history.

7. Britt Nicole "Believe" (Say It) USA [7,290 pts] Peak:5@1 <#6 MWC> (204,388) [Airplay:#11]
It has been a 73-show run for Believe by Britt Nicole so far, and still going strong. This has hit #1 5 times and got as high as #6 in the Points leaderboard which is where it stands. Believe scored almost 7,300 pts and maintained a long run in the top 50 which ultimately lead her to being the 2nd best song of the year by a Christian singer. This is also the 2nd time in 3 years that a Britt has been in the top 20 of the Endchart. This girl made a statement and has had 4 top 25 hits on the MWC including #3 for You, #22ish for Set The World On Fire and #20 for When She Cries so she is a very solid performer on the MWC. 2009 could be another big year for her. Mixi:Not so fast my friend. Britt doesn't seem to have stability I fear. But enjoy this video because I know about 85% of you have NOT seen this video! EXTRA:This was Britt Nicole's debut single, she hit #1 5 times.
LYRICS:
Wait, wait, wait, there's somethin' that I gotta say
It'll take, take, take, just a minute so don't walk away
I search in circles for a remedy
To fight the poison that is killing me
It's like I'm falling fast head over feet
Is anybody listening?
[CHORUS]
I wanna believe
I wanna believe in love again
I wanna believe
I wanna believe in love again
Tired of living this way, tired of everyday
So will you help me
I wanna breakthrough
I wanna believe in you
Hey, hey, hey, why is everyday the same for me?
Fake, fake, fake, just pretend what I'm suppose to be
I need an answer for my remedy
I need a Savior 'cause I'm in too deep
I reach up,
Will You reach down here to me?
[CHORUS]
You found me, You were looking for me
You found me, You were looking for me
You found me, You were waiting for me
I can see Your love
You found me, You were waiting for me
I can see Your love
I believe in You, I believe in You, I believe in You
I believe in You, I believe in You, I believe in You
[CHORUS x2]

14. Krystal Meyers "Make Some Noise" (Make Some Noise) USA [4,805 pts] Peak:7@1 <#15 MWC> (164,920) [Airplay:#8]
If you ask Krystal, she'll tell you that she did so much damage in 2008 than she could ever imagine. This song may have been on for just 31 shows in 2008 but the run could be like Paramore's Crushcrushcrush in a way. This hit #1 a killer 7 times which is 3rd most for 2008 and the video is very dancey and I consider it the 2008 Dance Song Of The Year. Love her or hate her, Krystal definitely did better this year than she did in years past with her other songs including Beauty Of Grace, 2008 was indeed the Breakout year for Krystal. She's a huge star in Japan from what I heard and I guess she knows a bit of Japanese. But whatever the reason, this pop/rock guitar girl took a break from her tradition Alternative Rock / Punk Rock sound and went all Pop/Electro on us, and it paid off huge for Krystal. Yet still, the 3rd highest song from a Christian singer/band in 2008. EXTRA:Krystal's last big hit was Beauty Of Grace.

Keesha:This was so not planned.
April:You're telling me Keesha.
Keesha:I mean, how did we end up doing this segment? Well, let's start with the Best Final 2s/3s of the year. We're only including Reality TV shows in this discussion.
April:I gotta tell you, I LOVE this list Keesha.
Keesha:We agree for once.

April:OMG, we agree again. We did have our moments, as you'll see in the #9 clip.
Keesha:Yes. I won't ever forget this clip. We were VERY catty.
April:Yeah, I know Keesha.
Hold up, Michael Paul Santi, how dare I not be on the top posters ever list.
You're on the top M4B posters list, not top ATRL posters. And I hardly was able to chat with you on ATRL this year and I apologize for that Ed
And NG I have ripped TRL for what happened but hey, it did have its great moments. We were introduced everywhere from Aaliyah (RIP) to WIlla Ford and Ashley Tisdale to Taylor Swift, it was a fun ride.....and then that fated day when Soulja Boy returned at #1 bumping Ashley Tisdale which was the day will forever be remembered as the day TRL lost its luster.
Thanx Bart....now comment on the rest of my top 100
Mixi:Reality check needed. In a tight battle Redemption Song wins Best TV show and Best Reality TV show. We beat Big Brother! OK, time to award Best Album Track Of The Year. 10 nominees, enjoy. Oh and there's NO crappy artists.
