This is what she gets for allowing Fashion! to make the album.
I will say, I agree with how the critics are saying there's not enough ART but it's still a good album.

Born This Way was overall a better album with lower lows but a lot of brilliant highs compared to ARTPOP, which is consistently good bar a couple of fillers but just occasionally brilliant, so it is only fair that it got a better score + lots of mentions in year-end lists.

Unfollow all of them on twitter and stay away from ATRL. It felt great during the Applause era and I'll do the same one week after the album release

Lyrically, I feel ARTPOP has lower lows and higher highs, if that makes any sense...
Then musically/production-wise, I'd say ARTPOP is generally better in that regard.

Bad Kids wasn't that bad and the second half of The Queen is one of the most beautiful things she has ever created.

TFM is still her best album, BTW with all the fillers has one of her best songs, and The Fame has the hits and the fun but daring pop music. ARTPOP lacks something and its quality is not on pair with Gaga's prior work, just that simply. I said it and don't ****ing regret one bit.

No.
It's good that you don't regret sharing your opinion, but realize that it's just that - an opinion.
My opinion is that this is her best work. It has nothing to do with "stan glasses"; if it did, I'd think each subsequent album was better than the last or equal to the last, and I do not. I never believed that Born This Way was equal to or better than The Fame Monster. I know she has flaws and her work is never perfect. I simply find ARTPOP to be better than the individual records she has made in the past, and I am well within my rights in believing that. Music is subjective, and I don't like making it objective. That's why I usually don't even check for reviews at all. How many of these reviews do you see assessing her career in a personal way rather than subjectively (or even objectively) reviewing the actual work? Too many. How many do you see applying unnecessarily high standards to her that are never applied to her contemporaries? Too many.

I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong
To crash the critics saying "Is it right? Or is it wrong?"

I wouldn't fret. The honeymoon phase is over and people are going to be a lot harsher towards Gaga. Once a new pop girl debuts as strongly as Gaga did, then they'll hype her up - drag her - and then praise Gaga as though a negative word about her had never been uttered. That's the way it goes.
I didn't even know what metacritic was TF, TFM, and BTW were released yet I still enjoyed them

That's because she's better and more talented than her contemporaries.
My opinion is not based in other's opinions and is not influenced by these critcis. I have been holding it since the leak, because I didn't want to be negative but I just couldn't help it once I entered this thread. I simply think she can do better and deliver more quality, just my opinion.
Besides I'm still pissed because she ruined Sexxx Dreams and MANiCURE.

We should have all submitted our opinions on ARTPOP before the reviews, charts and sales came in to sway them.
Stand by your taste, people. It's very easy to join the heard in hindsight.

But anyway I still like the album, I would give it a 6.5 maybe 7. I use the majority of the songs, the problem is that I simply don't feel connected and I don't get life I got with her other albums . Besides DJWS songs are the best in the album, the rest are...

I've been thinking of starting a music blog to review new pop releases, and just so y'all know, I'd give a solid 97 to ARTPOP.
Even if nobody would take me seriously.
Of course, I always rate pop albums a bit high. 90+ isn't TOO uncommon with my own rankings.

I've been listening to this for the past couple hours and I have to say it was something special:
http://open.spotify.com/album/4yHr095BMG5I3IRH4ToE5l
I am not sure if the persona has gotten in the way of the music or not, but the sound and the feeling behind the material has changed. Obviously, evolution and reinvention is necessary and to be commended, but it has to connect.
I don't feel like this is the end for Gaga by any means, but I think some editing is necessary.
A wake-up call for her to come "back to the middle" so to speak.
