That depends how you interpret the song. A criminal doesn't have to be taken literally either; a good song/video works on many levels, not just on face value.
So punching men, calling a women a prostitue, robbing a shop, running around in scantily clad outfits and on top of that wielding a gun at someone is an example of a good rolemodel?

I don't see how this video doesn't fit with the song, to be quite honest... "We found love in a hopeless place", the hopeless place being in such a bad person, she found love.
I really like the video, but after watching it, I'm pretty sure she wants chris back, and it makes me feel uneasy. Dedicating a video to him (which this felt like) only makes it worse. I want to cry. Why can't rihanna let go. I guess love really is that powerful of a drug. I can't take it.
