Ad Age tries to guess how shows will do, though obviously if it were that obvious we wouldn't have so many flops:
NBC: HITS This is Us - heart, buzzy trailer
Emerald City - epic, cable-y, gritty
Trial and Error - for fans of The Office
MISS Good Place - Bye Felicia, this will be the best new comedy of the season. They claim it's bad.
Taken - none of the movie's tension
ABC: HITS Designated Survivor - Well, it's certainly the show ABC seems most invested in; I've heard ABC's already been airing promos on their shows.
When We Rise - power, emotion.
MISS Every Comedy, except maybe Speechless
FOX: HITS Star - Lee Daniels' follow-up to Empire and all.
Exorcist - horror fans.
MISS Making History too gimmicky of a comedy
Mick tired
CBS HITS All 3 of their new white guy comedies. Well, they're very CBS I guess.
MISS Bull Too much like their other procedurals.
CW HITS Supergirl - Very compatible
Frequency - Compelling.
MISS No Tomorrow - Very flat.
I don't care for the Riverdale trailer. The acting is flat, the writing and music are overdramatic.
