Janet could of easily had done it with the Janet. Album. Coming off the MASSIVE upon MASSIVE Control and Rhythm Nation eras can you imagine the hype of her dropping that album out of the blue than slaying with That's The Way Love Goes. Give me a break.
Like I saw someone say in this thread.
"Beyonce is the symbol of OUR generation." But the fact that Janet is being compared to her, shows Janet's relevance, shows Janet's presence, and shows why Janet is a legend. Girls are trying to come for her throne, not the other way around.
Now goodnight with all the nonsense girls and close this thread. Janet, was a HUGE force to be reckoned with. She went against Powerhouses like Whitney, Madonna, Mariah, Michael Jackson, Prince and still slayed!!! Still got record breaking success, that still has not been met. Still sold out stadiums and arenas, and became the highest paid recording artist of all time with her 80 million dollar contract. (With inflation, no telling how much that is worth today.)
Who is Beyonce going against? Rihanna? Shakira? LMAO!! Give me a break.
As a said, Beyonce is a VERY good student, and compared to all the other girls is the most well rounded in her talents and is one of the most hard working, so for that she deserved all the praise.
But she has written no books. She just followed suit very well.
