FINAL Showdown!!! Grandpa T vs. Kitty Kat!
Round 1 – Winner: Katherine
Ok this round was cool. Katherine brought back KT Tunstall, which was one of her best performances of this season. I thought she did great as needed, but I think she could’ve kicked Grandpa’s ass further if she did “Bringing Out the Elvis in Me” or “Think.” I enjoyed her performance far more than the walrus that came on after her.
This round Taylor started off pretty good. For a second there, I was feeling him, until the song went on, and it all went downhill from there. I did not enjoy this one. He was vocally off AGAIN. Plus, I know his purpose was to stand out with the purple jacket, but it looked horrible and ridiculous. Who the fook does he think he is? Willy Wonka? Michael Jackson?
Round 2 – Winner: Katherine
Continuing my rant about Taylor, his next performance wasn’t better. He dropped the purple jacket and looked decent. He was off key, pitchy, and he sounded kind of mumbley/whiney in some of the song, that was annoying. Horrible performance choice. Luckily for Katherine, she kicked his ass.
Katherine, did the “best performance of the season.” That was beautiful once again, but she might’ve been off a note or two. ^~^ Randy was biased, and I hope he enjoys the “success” Taylor’s CD pulls out.
~I’m currently trying to get through to Katherine, but I’m not having any luck.~
Round 3 – Winner: Taylor
Wow, this is a horrible and controversial year on Idol.
Taylor had the better song, and did his usual vocal job with it. ~ Which isn’t that great. ~ To be quite honest I liked yet disliked both songs equally, but Taylor had the better arrangement. Katherine has beautiful vocals, but this song wasn’t that great. I will say that she sounded a little off vocally on some of the notes. But I thought it was a good performance, and she looked amazingly beautiful. (The term “bombshell” doesn’t even cover how she looked from my view. ^__^) I blame Kat’s loss of this round for whoever orchestrated this song. On the best side, I hear forward to her album.
