"Love On Top"

I'm not the biggest Beyoncé fan but I can always tell when she's doing a good job. This song is amazing. Like most of you I first listened to it when I watched her performing at the VMAs. It was instant love. This song is so happy it always makes me smile idk why.

The Fray
"Heartbeat"

My favorite band is finally back and I just can't help being obsessed with their new single. They always deliver exactly what I'm looking for and this song was no exception. I love taking night walks while listening to this. Expect them to be really high next year.

Nickelback
"When We Stand Together"

Nickelback's comeback single after 5 years. Surprisingly this band has a lot of haters I thought it was because of their success but it seems like it might be something I still can't find. Anyway this song is pure power, it was just released 3 months ago and it made it up here.

Avril Lavigne
"Smile"

First Avril song to appear in this countdown. 2011 was supposed to be her year. In the end nothing went as expected but at least she's finally free from that awful record label. Smile is so cheerful and optimistic and she looks gorgeous in the music video.

Katy Perry
"Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"

Katy strikes again. Despite being a fifth single it was a good effort. It's actually one of my favorite singles of her career. A lot of people criticized her for pushing it to number one by all means so that she could tie the record, but since I'm not here for charts I couldn't care less.

Rihanna
"California King Bed"

This song is like a bottle of soda lying in the middle of the desert. I honestly can't stand Rihanna anymore. She released like 20 singles in the last two years and most of them are so generic and overrated. CKB is so beautiful, this is the Rihanna that I liked back in 08.

My Chemical Romance
"SING"

This is the second highest 2010 leftover. MCR has never been part of my musical repertory but I like a couple of their singles. SING stands out as one of their best efforts, it's so contagious and powerful. Such a pity that the video was kind of a mess.

Hot Chelle Rae
"Tonight Tonight"

If you didn't listen to this song in 2011 you must come from another planet. It was everywhere, it's so damn infectious. Sadly it's also very generic like most of their new stuff, at first I thought I was listening to The All American Rejects. It was fun while it lasted.

Michelle Branch
"Loud Music"

Finally after all these years Michelle stopped trying to go country and came back to play pop/rock like she used to. This song is very simple but it's a grower. I had it stuck in my head for a couple of months. I'm looking forward for her next single (if she ever has one =()

Colbie Caillat
"Brighter Than The Sun"

Final appearance by Colbie. This is my favorite song of her album and probably one of my favorite songs she's ever done. When I listen to thing song it actually cheers me up, it's just so fresh and funny. I wanted at least one more single from this album =(.
