No, no, not in her album sales. Lol.

In her single sales, however, you could say she's lost some of her spark, no? (Due to people buying her album as opposed to just her singles, one could guess).

But don't most sophomore efforts seem, well, lackluster in comparison to debut albums?

6+ million people bought "Poker Face" and "Just Dance" though and The Fame still sold over 4 million copies. It's not that the songs are "non-commercial," (I don't know how anyone in their right mind could call it that) they just don't appeal to as large an audience as her previous hits did.

I'm disappointed with TEOG's sales. They need to choose the next single extremely carefully or it will jeopardize the rest of the era. This album is lacking huge smashes. I only see huge selling potential in MTN & Scheisse (as in 3-4 million). You & I could do great too, & I want that for winter.

Well, see, I thought if any of her songs was going to smash hard (in the sales department), it would have been TEOG.

I didn't expect it to sell like any of Katy's singles or anything. However, I was expecting 3x platinum from TEOG.

It's still her best HAC hit to date, which is kind of cool. I'm happy about that!

The Edge of Glory probably isn't the most appealing song to the teenage music-buying market. Marry the Night may be a better option.
