It really depends. For example, "Born This Way"'s deal did kill it's longevity because it got up to 100 million audience in a week and that was the normal overall peak at the time (unless you were getting a lot of multi-format support). But in the case of something like "You Da One" or "Give Me All Your Luvin'," their deals did shorten their lifespan because they never found good ground after it was over or as you said, public wasn't having it. The sales also show that.
It seems "Your Body" was just a one-day thing, so we'll see how it acts through the week and then after next weekend's rolling.
