Taylor took it to the media and tried to paint Katy as a jealous vindictive bitch. I don't blame Katy for that little tweet especially not since the song Taylor wrote is apparently full of "oh burn zzzingers!" (What is she anyway? 12).

If you paid attention to the interview Taylor did which began all of this she talked about other occurrences that had her back up, years of not knowing if they were friends or enemies and she was obviously hoping it would be friends. I think people are looking at the entire situation in an incredibly one dimensional way when we all know there are politics amongst the pop girls that never reaches our ears, Taylor may be too classy to come out and state exact situations, she was also too classy to name names, there was several possibilities of who it was and it was Katy who confirmed it on twitter, maybe she is hoping a feud will help her next single smash or maybe she will run to the studio and rework an old demo as a clapback.
They both write about their lives so people need to stop painting Taylor as a villain for writing about her feelings and opinions without naming anyone.
Is anybody really surprised at Taylor being jealous, petty, and childish tho?
