After slaying (sort of, I ranked 3rd Place that round) the competition with my SEXXX TRINITY, it was only natural that Collin would ask me back to host and guest judge this round. However, that's not the only surprise in store. This round will feature a DOUBLE ELIMINATION. Yes, two of you in the flop trinity will be joining the ranks of losers like Hugamari and Nait Phoenix. Also note that I'm a tough critic and will be looking for uniqueness with your entries. I will not tolerate some bland, generic and Katy Perry-like entry about sex.
Ahh, sex! A quick glance at pop culture (was in art, now art's in pop culture in me) shows us that sex is at the forefront. Sex hasn't always been prevalent in music, however. In fact, the massive popularization of sex is something closer to our generation, something that we all have been brought up with and have adjusted to being around. The taboo around sex in music hasn't been quite as prevalent in our day and age, so now we all jam to sex bops without thinking twice! Music is influenced by sexuality in a variety of ways, whether it's raunchy or spiritual: this trinity is quite open-ended once you dig in a little bit.

S U M M A R Y
My selection this time around was simple. I wanted to represent different aspects of sex while taking into consideration the natural progression of them through life. When we are younger, we begin to experiment with masturbation, eventually curiosity takes over and we take part in intercourse before finally discovering the beauty of an orgasm with a partner. It was important for me to include songs that weren't blatantly about sex, sounding fun but still erotic. Taking all of this into account, I came up with the following:
C Y N D I L A U P E R | S H E B O P | M A S T U R B A T I O N Who would have thought that good little Miss Cyndi would reference masturbation in a song on her most successful album and on a single nonetheless? Lines like "do I wanna go out with a lion's roar? huh, yea, I wanna go south and get me some more" as well as "hey, hey - they say I better get a chaperone because I can't stop messin' with the danger zone" make it pretty obvious what she's referring to. The song is fun and was major hit and it isn't until you actually listen to the lyrics that you realize she's talking about something that's natural for most of us. If you watch the video, you'll notice a reference at this with the word "Masterbingo".
M A D O N N A | D E E P E R A N D D E E P E R | I N T E R C O U R S E Unlike our good girl Cyndi, Madonna's just a big ol' ho and she's proud of it. Not surprising, the song in question is from Erotica and is said to be not just about sex, but gay sex. While I can relate to all three songs, I think this one has the most meaning for me in the sense that the song touches on gay love as well and the passion that comes from one's first time, falling deeper and deeper in love with both your partner and the act. Oh, and I've been saving this song since the beginning of the game so I'm glad I get to put it to good use.
F R A N K I E G O E S T O H O L L Y W O O D | R E L A X | O R G A S M What's the point of sex if you don't orgasm? Without it, you're pretty much just getting a sloppy workout. In yet another subliminal song, the boys of Frankie Goes to Hollywood refer to the big O with lyrics like "relax don't do it, when you want to come", "but shoot it in the right direction" and "hit me with those laser beams". Once I watched the video, it wasn't really shocking what the song was about considering the leather daddy theme throughout it.
FUN FACT: If you take a letter from each song (in the order listed), you can spell out the word SEX itself (see images above).
Entries are due to Collin, via PM, by Thursday, January 23rd at 8PM EST

Out of the 300+ songs I've looked at in my iTunes so far (I just put it on shuffle) only 11 are about sex.
My puritan taste
EDIT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO TRIPLE POST: This idea I have tho.

My best advice to anyone who seems to be struggling would be to pick songs out that aren't "random", cater to the topic ("sex", here) and are diverse. By "diverse" I mean that no song can overlap over another in your trinity, like each is different in as many ways as possible. For example, look for songs in different genres - but that's not a requirement Think simple!

I just got back from my Bible Study group, and I see that the theme of the round is "Sex"? Oh mercy me.
This is going to be hard. As a conservative Christian soul, I have not a single promiscuous song in my iTunes. I hope that the Lord will forgive me for listening to some of these scandalous sexual 'songs'.

Bible study? Not when I saw you at the Adult store. Express yourself, don't repress yourself, sinner.
