Seriously what the hell was so bad about Katharine? I REALLY don't understand the hate. I just watched the performance again, to check if I actually did miss anything bad... and the only thing that was off was when she sang "all you ever need to know," and everything else was RIGHT on. Also, the way she pulled it together at the end with her falsetto was just beautiful.

Song Choice stabbed Katherine this week, and it wasn't all that completly bad. People have the tendency to compare the idol's performance to the original artist.

Katherine wasn't horrible, but I didn't think it was good. Like it was alright, but maybe I just kept expecting Christina notes, just felt like she was missing alot. She is good though.


I thought Paris was good. I don't know, I was suprised. Felt like an actual performance I would see on some crappy awards show, meaning like a real artist.

Wow, all I can say is Lisa could not have picked a worst song for her to sing. Never ever ever ever should you sing a song from a past idol, especially not kelly clarkson. That's just asking for trouble. It is inevitable that they are gonna compare you to her and obviously Lisa cannot compare. She ruined that song it was so painful for me to listen to.

Oh and when Mandisa said she was gonna sing that shackles song I almost died because I was just singing that song like right before she said that, and you know that isnt like a real popular or mainstream song or anything. lol anyway just wanted to add that

One more thing, if it is true about another 3 years of american idol; i think i might die. I love the show and everything but that is just overkill.

I really don't think Lisa was the worst last night. Kelly Clarkson (who actually isn't a great singer NOWADAYS anyway) comparisons aside, the performance was better than half of the crap the other contestants tried to pull together.

Katharine's vocals were fine. Her performance however, was awful. She was completely stiff and barely moved at all.

Yep its true, the show is going on for a few more seasons; unless viewership goes down drastically. I think if they do some twists and switch the format around, I could stay around.
