This is a beautiful song. An absolute masterpiece and it was produced by every Monster's favorite producer RedOne! Who would've guessed RedOne could make a ballad? I thought all he did were Pitbull/J.Lo Jams.
My favorite part about the song is "There's nothing worst than being in Love... alone"  Brandy really poured her heart into this song and y'all just disrespecting it like that.
True was a promotional single off Human and managed to chart.
Fun fact about this song, It was originally intended for none other but the King of Pop, Michael Jackson  . Apparently, the song was written with him in mind, but his camp was done with their album/didn't want it for whatever reason and it ended up in Brandy's legendary hands. The song was also written while RedOne was doing sessions for Lady Gaga's debut! Imagine if they handed it to her. I bet you homos would appreciate it then. SMH.
Me and supa disagree over the use of Auto-tune. He says leave it to Cher & T-Pain, but Brandy been doing autotune since 1999 & WELL. What's the tea?

The Boy Is Mine (petty ass album title) was honestly kinda okay. It could've been better, but too much filler.

@conatus, I also got into Monica first. It was funny, back in HS i used to drag Brandy all the time until jdmc told me to listen to some of her music and I fell in love! Ditched Monica and switched boats quicker than New Life fell down the charts!

Oh lord! I used to hate I Wanna Be Down the one time I had heard it on VH1 That song grew on me & hit me like a hurricane. Truly one of her best songs.
Don't Take It Personal is nice but I'm a man so I can't relate to periods

Not my 11 leaving. Its one of my faves of hers, but I know it didn't stand a chance to win. If this was a rate of album tracks, I would of given a different song an 11 But its definitely one of her best ballads on all albums released since Full Moon.
