although i agree a cma performance would blast this to the top of the charts, she has global promotion to do as well. the one-two punch of the amas and then the video at the end of the month will be perfect. it also gives the song time to climb on radio.
i feel the song will do well during the holiday season.

it's not a dwuw tea in any way, shape, or form. with dwuw, they jumped the gun because it went #1 as a promo single. the problem with that was that any of her songs would've went #1 as a promo single. with million reasons, it went #1 because the general public liked it during the carpool karaoke skit. in fact, i'm pretty sure million reasons is the first gaga song in a long time to go #1 because the general public liked it instead of it being a pre-album song. it was a very smart move by them.
