The Lana vs Lorde debate is rather unnecessary. They are in two completely different musical realms.
Lorde is very hip hop influenced and makes many references to more materialistic ideals.
Lana centers around Romanticism and is driven by emotion. Her music has a bit of a...mournful vibe.
