Enough with the excuses. She's rolling her album out under the Drake song, she's getting it a radio deal on Pop & Rhythmic, and she's probably gonna have him promote it everywhere.

She's depending on him.

I am pretty sure they never expected it to be a hit anyway. They released it at a time when BBHMM was still doing pretty well, so it makes no sense for them to just randomly release a (non-gp friendly) single. However, had it not been a TIDAL exclusive, it would've performed better in terms of first week sales.

The only reason BBHMM seemed culturally relevant is because a few white celebrities covered it on Jimmy Fallon and the like. Without that, the illusion of all the "relevance" goes away.
