And Britney's album sales decline was much more resisted than Faga's, and it's not as dramatic as you're making it seem since album sales in general were declining.

It was worse. Way worse, and way more dramatic. You know it, I know it. Everyone knows it. The way her fanbase just stopped caring about her. Not even 300,000 copies sold in the US.

You know what makes this fact even sadder? The fact that The Remix (an album full of, well, remixes) actually outsold Britney Jean in the US meaning more people were interested in buying The Remix than in buying Britney's brand new studio album.

Truly sad.
