This was covered on the last page. The current theory is that Maleficent was someone else's dupe all along. ezra didn't get permabanned because that was his original account; his dupe #CAREEROVER got permabanned.

But of course this is all speculation until we get an answer from a mod (if we ever do).

fff gal we aren't ever getting better ads even with a new server. A new server isn't gonna fix their ad providers giving them terrible ads so they have enough money to do anything to fix the site which is why mods/admins have never once talked about the ads going away.

I've found disabling JavaScript while strictly browsing the site (Settings > Safari > Advanced for iPhone/iPad/iPod) helps ads completely go away. You'll have to enable it on other sites though since some become useless sites you can't click around on without javascript.
