DEFO #1 NEXT WEEK!!!!! This week it was #1 on itunes from half way through the tracking week (wednesday) so matt cardle sold more at the strt of the week compared to what rihanna did for the 2nd half. But next week she will be #1 ALL WEEK (on itunes) so she will be #1 on singles chart as his physical sales are going to drop even more.

It will probably only get 1 week as bruno mars is released the following week. UK LOVES bruno.

Rihanna knocks Take That from album No. 1


Rihanna has rocketed to the top of the UK album chart with her fifth studio LP Loud.

The 'What's My Name' singer, who peaked on the chart at two at the end of November, finally unsettled Take That's The Flood from the top spot that it had held for the last six weeks.

Despite losing pole position, the boyband still managed to shift another 53,000 copies of their million-selling record, the biggest selling album of 2010.

Meanwhile, spots three to nine on the first chart of the year have been occupied by old releases making dramatic advances, with the most significant gains going to Plan B's The Defamation Of Strickland Banks, which rises to three from last week's 21, Tinie Tempah's Disc-Overy, up 22 places to this week's four, and Sigh No More by Mumford And Sons, which after being on the brink of the top 40 soars 30 places to six.

However, the new-look top ten means that Olly Murs's self-titled album, The Beginning by Black Eyed Peas and JLS effort Outta This World crash from the top quarter of the chart to 11, 18 and 20 respectively.

Also following in the footsteps of the week's major climbers are Cee Lo Green, who advances 21 places to 13 with The Lady Killer, and the
