As a Hispanic person, I feel insulted by some of the people who represent us in the music industry.
There hasn't been a super talented Hispanic person to hit the crossover big leagues since Julio Iglesias, and that was over 30 years ago. I guess we have Shakira, but I can't stand her (live) singing voice even a little bit. Most Hispanic musicians are focused on making forgettable, repetitive, same-sounding "bops" that are hard to remember and distinguish from other songs upon 20 consecutive listens nowadays.
And DEMO needs to stop trying to happen. This bitch went on MULTIPLE world tours for the same exact album, yet she can barely scrape past Gold or leave any sort of lasting impact on the public. Doesn't help that she's preachy and her music is god-awful.
Ariana performed everywhere and can't scan gold. Their label will use even more money on Taylor since she's the one bringing profits. Can't see Arianal having any GGGB era anytime soon.
3 hits and My Everything hasn't even outsold When The Sun Goes Down. That's failure you can only buy.
Selena's highest selling album is at 1.3 million WW, and My Everything is currently at 1.13 million and counting, so she'll pass it soon if she hasn't already.

Billboard 200: #10 @ArianaGrande, My Everything 79,000 (33,000 in sales | 506,000 total sales).

It only took her four collaborations and 5 billion AI.

Well Selena milked the living **** out of her public relationship with Justin Bieber, who was enormous at the time of that album's release, and for her next album, she promoted her album My Everything-style, so you win some, you lose some.
