Associated Press -- Hair salons across the world are packed after numerous artists, both male and female, began experiencing spontaneous hair loss, extensions falling off, or wig snatching from out of thin air.
"I don't know what happened, one second I was performing -- the next my bowl wig just fell off," said one pop scarlet.
The hairy situation has caused panic in the industry. Many analysts are attributing the hair loss to the upcoming release of Britney Spears' "Hold it Against Me" music video slated to premier in 10 days.
"I saw teaser number three last night and my mind was blown," said a former pop princess. "I was performing on stage and briefly thought of the teaser - the next second I forgot the words to the song I was singing."
Scientists are currently searching for solutions to the hair loss situation before the video debuts.
"Heavy duty super glue, and premium weave won't cut it," said Bonquisha Dratz owner of 'Dreads N' Heads' in New York City. "Britney's a bad bitch and she's coming hard."
