I genuinely think Interscope did do that on purporse. Boom Boom Pow (also promoted by Interscope) was going to be released the following week, and everybody knew it was going to get to #1 and dominate for ages. That was literally the last chance for Poker Face. Interscope had to take desperate measures.
As for #1s. I think Carly will have it for a few more weeks, and then hopefully Flo Rida will dethrone her, when his airplay is higher. He's doing good on both pop and rhythmic, and I think he might go top 50 on urban with the song aswell, so that'll give him a really good airplay peak in a couple of months time.
