I think Demi's album is gonna flop. Her brass personality is a huge turn off for the gp and this new image of hers seems really forced and I'm not buying it. I also can't stand the fact that she's like half SJW, half "I wanna sing about sex drugs and rock n roll!!1111"
Selena knows how to play the game a lot more and understands what it takes to be a successful celebrity. She just nods her head, bats her eyes, and smiles for the cameras whereas Demi doesn't know when to shut up. She claims she doesn't want to be remembered for her "Struggles", but it's ALL she talks about. She STILL talks about it. And when she has to drag other artists into her own views (like how she dragged Meghan Trainor and Lady Gaga) she just really, REALLY irks me.
Demi has miles more musical talent than Selena, but it's not gonna get her anywhere because Selena is just so much more appealing, despite the fact she can't sing a note and pretty much is a "musical artist" for business reasons instead of actually being passionate about it. You can tell Demi is pressed for not being an A list artist, but it's honestly her fault. Her music is decent enough, she's just such a cringeworthy celebrity
I never would've thought back in the day that Selena would get top 10s easily while Demi would flop, seeing how Demi's lead singles reached the top 10 while Selena's songs always peaked in the 2os region of the Hot 100 even if they were good (eg Love You Like a Love Song).
