It took me weeks/months before I realized the version I had was without Nicki It gives the song a better flow in my opinion

Everyone keeps saying that Nicki's verse doesn't add anything and yet it wouldn't be there if Ci didn't want it there which means she obviously thinks it deserves to be there and I stand in agreement with her

No. We just had I'm Out w/ Nicki. Unless they scrape that version (which isn't going to happen) they shouldn't use it yet. If anything the era should go

Body Party --> I'm Out --> Read My Lips (Urban) + Overdose (Pop/International) --> DUI, Backseat Love or Sophmore (Urban/AC) --> Livin It Up (Pop/International).

I agree. I'm not sure if her label plans on pushing the album into Spring of 2014, but I could def. see "Livin' It Up" being a spring-time hit. people are getting ready to graduate from school, winter is finally over, spring break, people are vacationing, etc. It just fits that vibe. They can send the version w/ Nicki to rhythmic and send the regular version to Pop/International.

That's only if they plan on keeping this era going that long. we'll see.

Hopefully it goes Top 20 Urban, then Pop or Rhythmic picks it up.

But after my single layout. She can scrape the second Urban single in my outline and skip straight to Livin It Up for pop/rhythmic & international then end the era, hop back in the studio and gear up for a Q4 2014 release. She better get on her Rihanna game and pop out an album a year until a smash happens (which I feel is so close).

If Epic doesn't want this era to go longer then she might as well pop out RML and Overdose, go on tour international + US for the rest of 2013 and early 2014 (while recording) and then officially crawl go into the studio for a Q4 album release in 2014 (since there's no point in a re-release on a dead era).

I just don't think Ciara is ready to release a pure pop single. Her album JUST started selling steady and increasing. "Overdose" is not a good US single. It sounds like Britney Spears. Next single/Winter single should be "Where You Go" and I agree with LIU being a spring single now.

Considering #BeEpic decided not to send Urban smash possible-crossover hit Body Party over to Pop, I'm willing to bet
Ci and LA just want to have a semi-crossover hit before they pump the gas with Overdose.
Either way, I'm tired of waiting and they need to stop confirming **** when they change their minds. Unprofessional.

If they don't re-release Ciara, I doubt there will be much of a gap between the final single and lead of Album 6.

That's actually a smart thought and it does make sense because they didn't send BP. Maybe they do wanna try RML for pop and urban (basically try to get Ciara's style to smash) then do Overdose (trying what the label and the world wants but is a bit of a sellout for Ciara right now).

Read My Lips should be sent to radio by the end of this month. Send Overdose to the international markets at the same time.
In December/January send Where You Go to urban and rythmic. It has a slight chance of crossing into pop as well.
If RML and WYG do decently, throw out Livin it Up in March/April just to test how pop radio will receive her.
