Well, I don't see how someone could give their time + coins to homophobic, misogynistic (probably racist too!) trash like that, but I mean, if that's what Liam wants to do...

He could at least recognize the fact that he probably hurt a lot of gay fans that day when he said he loves their "family values." I don't believe that's how he meant it, but he handled it the complete wrong way. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication, he flipped out like it was everyone else's fault that he wasn't aware his beloved show was currently getting a ton of press for vile stuff.

He shouldn't have to apologize for people misinterpreting and using that to badmouth him. Most people just completely jumped to conclusions and that is entirely on them. Sheesh, political correctness is getting out of control these days. It's not political correctness With the stuff surrounding DD at the time, it very much sounded like he was supporting their anti-gay (they compared homosexuality to bestiality fyi) views. It's not being "PC" to just freaking respect people.

I couldn't agree more. Liam always gets **** for every little thing he says or doesnt say. It's ridiculous. Like, grow the **** up, get a life and stop letting people you don't know or will ever meet affect you in an unnecessary negative way.

Too many people have come to associate "family values" with the one that's frequently used by actual homophobics. That, I think, is the problem and why Liam got attacked for miswording his tweet. That's my issue with this whole thing.

While the DD indeed proven themselves homophobics, I think what Liam referred to was the one we as a culture desire. A real family (regardless of orientation or parenting units).
