I hope it's not a 360 deal. These deals never seem to work out well in the end.

LITD has my mind blown, favorite tracks from the album are shifting a bit with this... I really hope she adds them for you guys, if not I think Glastonbury is definitely a possibility, and at least we'll get HQ video of that

So I had a dream that was some stage person who handled all of Adele's stuff for her concert and I royally screwed up on the day I was suppose to work for her and I was still in my room and she was calling me where I was I had a meltdown trying to salvage what I was suppose to do and it was horrible

Damn.... AMAZING. What do you think she'll cut if she adds these songs, though? (Assuming she does cut songs.) I feel like "I Miss You" will be gone. What else do you think she might cut? Honestly, I'd rather she did "Remedy" than "River Lea," but still... I think "River Lea" will be great live.

 That dream was HILARIOUS, Ichi!
Also... So, the "River Lea" soundcheck in particular really helped the song grow on me (I've always loved it, but I'd much rather her perform "Remedy"). But I love the setlist she has so much that I hope she adds the two new songs without cutting anything. If she has to cut any old songs, it'll be either "One and Only" or "Don't You Remember," and I love both, but she CANNOT get rid of "Don't You Remember." I refuse to let her.
Also... Does anyone know where I can find the song credits (instrumentalists, engineers, etc.) for "I Found a Boy"? There aren't songs credits for it on Discogs and I don't know where else to look. They're not in the album booklet either.

+1. I think Columbia has been a better match for her own ideas commercially for a long time now, after all, the "long tail" promotional style of 21 originated from their side. Artistically, she's clearly one to be independent even from an independent... one can see a partnership with any label will ultimately prove more prolific and profitable for them (and better musically for everyone) in the long run if they let her do her thing as much as possible.

We are so not getting another album till at least 2020. By that point, pop radio will have well and truly abandoned her. Therefore, it will be her least commercially successful album, bar 19. My instinct tells me that staying with XL would be the best option for her musically. It's important to me that she has the freedom to grow artistically as opposed to commercially.
Funny story by the way, Ichi

It just doesn't seem like an artistically evolving but not commercially successful future is really the plan to me. Granted, she's mentioned taking time off again to "live a real life" to write her next record about, but at the same time she's talked having more ambition, wanting to make that next record, a desire to continue to be able to fill the O2 but worrying she'll fade if she disappears for another few years, and a seeming lack of interest in experimenting a ton musically... By almost all accounts I've seen it seems that her manager's negotiated this supposed contract with them, the same guy who said that he expects her to make "20 records" as they're "playing for the long game". There would have to be some long game goal to going to a inherently more commercial, 'now-now-now' label here, and I believe that goal involves fully solidifying Adele as a major force in the popular music industry for years to come.
Furthermore, if this contract did just happen, it would makes little sense for Sony to be giving Adele over 100 (or, if HDD is correct, 50) million dollars right now to be signed and then sit on the label for half a decade or more until her fourth album arrives. Especially when, as you said yourself, with all logic though it often doesn't apply to Adele it's very possible the mainstream will begin lose interest faster this time around, as she'll inevitably close this era with less hype than she did 21. They're going to want a more rapid return on their investment, and, pending she doesn't plan to have another kid next, I don't believe it would be long before Sony looks at the fact that she would have more time once her son is in school and be like 'well, where is it?' Basically, I don't think Jonathan's negotiating/Adele's signing a contract that says she has to make a new album every year, but I also don't think Sony would go into negotiations blind to the fact that it is what Adele doesn't do, or at least doesn't do before the public loses themselves in hearsay entirely, that is the main issue when signing her.

Those LITD and River Les soundchecks. They must be waiting to get it right before she adds them.

I feel like we'll get one sooner than that. She's probably just not going to tour with the next album (which is what I always assumed anyways). I also have a feeling that's why she mentioned she might not tour to start, to see what the reaction would be for the future.
