Not to mention, every controversy only lasts about 3 days this cycle. Anything big they'll want as close to the election as possible so it's fresh on people's minds.

I do think something changed. I think the Dems are pissed about this and I see people actually voting for Hillary with even more enthusiasm on election day. Her rallies on Friday sounded more like Trump rallies with the voters getting all riled up
