I still find it funny when people share their experiences of discovering that Kesha and Iggy weren't black. I don't know, perhaps it's because I actually saw them the first time that I heard them (sans Right Round, who I thought was Katy Perry up until I found out it was Kesha, much later, after seeing her in the TiK ToK MV), but I never once thought that.
That would be quite a shock though!

I'm a pop music fan and not a rock music fan, so obviously it wouldn't be my first choice. But I love Kesha's writing and I love Kesha's voice and I have really enjoyed the material that she has put out that has been rock or rock-influenced so far, so I'd most likely still enjoy it. But I'm pretty sure it would just further cement Animal as my favourite album of Kesha's.
She gives me singer-songwriter strumming on the guitar at Starbucks entertaining a group of rebels and pansexual tumblr liberals teas. I'd actually prefer her doing rock over pop though. She can pull off alot of genres well.
