i never listen to the radio & "boybands" have never been my thing so i had heard of them but never heard their music or really seen them until Taylor started well...u kno & i saw the most beautiful face i had ever seen which first spearked my interest so when i heard they were performing on XF cos i watched the show for Brit i figured id check them out for harry (who wouldve known how that would change my whole world ) & i literally fell in love
i was never the same after seeing/hearing him/them perform Little Things

ever since that day i have literally been completely immersed in 1Derland

Well I remember secretly liking One Thing. Never liked wmyb. I reallyyyyyy liked Liam at the 2012 vmas but they never won me over until they slayed me with LT live on the XF

!!! The freakout needs to stop.
There has been literally NO promo from them.
Like I don't know if it's because of Modest being shady, them being on tour, them trying to phase out of Modest, whatever. There was no promotion for this song.
Maybe the next single could pull a SOML and be the album seller for the long run though.
I really just want the album I don't even care about the singles anymore. I want the music.

ATRL is truly obsessed with single success. The boys have ALWAYS been great album sellers. Hella lot more than most of their faves by far anyway. Besides, Lord knows 1D stans are the least shallow anyway since we stan character and music over numbers.

Kworb estimates : 162k...That's two times less than their previous leads.

Not burying them yet, the song is kind of lame after all, but it's a bad indication. If their first week sales for their album are also divided by 2 compared to TMH/MM, then it's truly the beginning of the end.

If One Direction’s new material is anything to go by, we can expect big things from their latest song written by Ed Sheeran – and Simon Cowell agrees!

When Max quizzed Simon about the song, he also let the title slip – the new single will be called ‘18’.

Simon revealed, “He wrote a great song. The funny story was that Ed came down to see me at Got Talent, as he was performing, and he came up to the dressing room and I went, ‘Where’s the One Direction song?’. And he said ‘I didn’t know you wanted a song from me’ and I went ‘yeah’“And then literally a week later he comes round to my house with his manager one night, turned up around 11 o’clock and said ‘Do you like this song?’ and he played me ‘18’ and it took me about a millionth of a second to say yes.”

“It’s turned out really well, Ed’s a real star and the fact that he did it in such a short space of time but he was so focused and he’s a brilliant songwriter. You know what I love about Ed? He’s generous. He could have kept that song but he loves writing hits.”

And with such HUGE success as a band, does Simon ever see the boys going solo in the future?

He revealed, “Look, I think eventually, whether they do it within One Direction or afterwards, if they want to do this for another five or ten years, they can do it. They’ve gone past this three, four year mark and they’ve got better.”

I knew they were fading, I said so a few weeks ago. Hopefully their album sales prove me wrong but I'm not even sure they will.
