Cycle 7
QUESTIONS for MITCHIE
the winner of TOP MEMBER Cycle 6
THEGEOKING:: Were you confident from the start of Cycle 6 that you could possibly win ATRL's Next Top Member, or did you slowly gain confidence throughout the Cycle?
MITCHIE:: I wasn't confident enough. Actually, I wasn't interested to join at all (but I didn't regret that I joined). But, throughout the competition I could say that I gained confidence after receiving top call-outs. It actually helped me to get through and made it to the top.
EVUN:: We've all earned our spots, so you already know we're all qualified candidates. What would you say was the best thing you did (and I can do) to give yourself that extra edge and shine to get the win over the other finalists at the end?
MITCHIE:: During my time on ANTM, the best thing I did I guess was...............(let me refresh my memory).
I guess that was when we were competing for the final 2 spot. Everyone knows I'm the sweet type and I guess they were getting sick of that image of me so I tried to be cocky that time, but not too much though. I gave them a different side of me but in a creative way (I did a story type -- a hunger games one tbh). I wasn't able to get a look for the past challenges you all did but I could suggest you to be more honest to yourself (I guess). Just let out what you feel. Be more realistic. But it depends on what challenge is given to you. What sets me apart during my time was how I presented my entries. I used photoshop, images, gifs....that's a big help to me actually. SO, I suggest, be more playful (?) with your entry. Yea, sorry, I suck at suggesting, to be honest. I wish you good luck!!
THEGEOKING:: Was there someone else in the Cycle that you feel deserved to win ATRL's Next Top Member more than you?
MITCHIE:: Yes. I do feel that Deuces or even Nait Phoenix deserved to win. They were great competitors and they have what it takes. They're more social than me but I guess I do deserve to win also. I gave my best to it and I had been more consistent. Though being popular is the last thing that I wanted, there were times I wished that I carry the title so well like the others did. I know I failed at that but it's not like I should feel so undeserved for the title. I'm still the Mitchie everyone knows, humble and sweet, and I don't feel like changing that for the sake of "hey, look, I won the Top Member."
DVNR:: What challenge did you seem to struggle with the most?
MITCHIE:: That would be the username/smiley challenge. I didn't know how to explain my username that time. (mitchie22) I was like, "the hell, my username is so basic." It was after the challenge that I got a top callout so I was freakin' out. And the smiley I couldn't pick what smiley represents me at all. But, I did manage to get it together. I was second to Deuces and had been part of the Top 3.
DVNR:: What are some of the qualities that you felt helped make you stand out against your competitors during your cycle to evidently win it all?
MITCHIE:: Qualities? hmmm.. That would be my (fake) creativeness. No, just kidding. I was actually surprised where did my creativeness come from. I presented my entries using photoshop, images and gifs. I guess they gave me extra points for the effort. And also, my (fake) confidence. lol. Actually, I earned that throughout the competition. I received the most top-callouts so it helped me to be more competitive.
EVUN:: I don't want the benefits of ATRLNTM to end when the show ends. What is the more important thing you took away from the tournament, and what's something you wish you had done after the show ended to maintain the lessons and rewards it offered you?
MITCHIE:: I've become more confident in here. I've known myself more. Like, how creative I've become in this competition. That's one thing that tournament had done to me. I had fun. I learned a lot of things about other contestants as well but..... Something I wish I had done? I wish I had lived up its expectations. You know, be more social in here and opinionated (I guess) instead I've become more busier in real life that I don't even come in here at all. Months after I won, I started my college life and it took almost all my time. No wonder why I'm still a nobody (for the most part) considering that I won but being popular like the other members in here would be the last thing that I wanted. When I joined, I said to myself that this would be fun. It was actually stressful, mentally. But, after receiving most of the top callouts, I realized that I have what it takes. I've grown a lot from being the shy girl to the one who gained confidence. It was one lesson I got. Why do you have to be shy in a forum anyway. I guess I'm very different to all the former winners. I won not because I could drag, not because I'm popular, not because I'm controversial, but because I stayed as the Mitchie that everyone knows. Humble and sweet. I just wished that I carry the title so well like the others did, though.
Thank you so much Mitchie for answering the final three's questions!
Tune in tomorrow to see who is our final 2!!!

this brings back so many memories of your run last cycle! i was honored to be the host when you won. i think you're carrying the title just fine, btw. you won for being yourself, and you're right about not needing to change just because you won.
i had a moment of controversy following my win that i still have not been fully able to live down, but in the competition i always remained true to myself and competed as strongly as i could. i don't feel like it was a popularity contest, so i didn't expect any popularity at all. i just saw it as a chance to learn and grow and to become acquainted with more people on atrl.
top member was stressful as both a contestant AND a host, and now i've seen it from the side of a traditional judge as well. it's quite interesting to say the least. oh yeah, and you won your free 6 months of atrl+ too! :]

And yes, thank you for the 6 months of atrl+. I haven't used it yet, though.
Good luck to the three of you!

Both entries were good.
Dvn's was creative and cute -- its premise was playful and fitting for ATRL.
Geo's definitely exceeded us both in terms of stats, and his was a very ATRL-ish thread (if that makes any sense). I wish it had been slightly more original though -- I feel like I've seen very similar discussions and themes repeated before.

I think that all three of you did a good job to a certain extent, but I felt that one of you didn't REALLY do enough. That person's thread was "above average" when they needed it to be "great".

I was going to ask "Where?" myself, but I didn't want to be the only one who was asking.

Three hours since Matty initially posted saying he's been working on it. Gotta be soon.
Geo hasn't posted in this thread in so long.

I'm just hopeful that people will return for the final round, honestly. I don't want there to be, like, five votes for the winner.
