hi ya'll, so I'm writing a research paper on how Adele successfully conveyed her message through music and lyrics to people of all ages from her own experience.
would anyone like to share an Adele song that speaks to you and the reason why.
I'd also appreciate it if someone can tell me something interesting about her songwriting process

for me, much of the simplicity in her songs (both instrument/sonical wise) speaks to me, and how, especially on 19, she feels like a trubadour more than a popartist.
she has an ability to affect so many ppl with subjects that are either commonly dealt with in normal Life (like missing old friends and esp. boy/girlfriends), or even with matters that ppl hasn't really been through.
she deals with these matters in a simple yet intelligent way, her older lyrics are very rarely the typical "iīd do anything for you, i love you, iīm not complete without you lalala...". a bit too much of this on 25 tho :/
i Think the songs that affects me the most are Rolling in the Deep and Hometown Glory.
RITD has a pretty unique sound and structure, and when itīs done live make you feel like you are part of an enormous mass with slaves being emancipated. it really has the slave-song stomp, itīs perfect!
HG has a very special, spartan and almost eerie feel, with a bit weird lyrics that fits perfectly. her nod to Ella Fitzgerld in the bridge is spine-tingling and i can really put myself on the dusky Backstreets of London listening to it.
the WAY she delivers the vocals is very important of course. had she been a Mariah/Whitney or even Ariana type of singer, iīd probably never Catch interest in her. She has a very special, warm and vibrating tone and phrases her songs (esp the earlier) in a special, trubadour-esque way you donīt hear other popstars do.
it prolly has alot to do with her Writing and playing the guitar along with the lyrics.
